This primary suite has a beautiful view of the treetops on their historic street, but the alcove wasn't quite large enough to accept a pair of lounge chairs with a table between, so we challenged ourselves to get a bit more creative.
Our contracting team crafted this custom built in to house bulky bedding and sweaters - the things that are often hard to store in smaller, older homes' closets. We created an upholstered seat cushion, covered in a crisp plaid. Added burnished brass sconces on either side and had the built in painted in glossy, Benjamin Moore's Blue Hydrangea.
Historic homes have so many opportunities to add quirky nooks that make the most of every square inch.
